Maharaja Raav Chandra Sen was a prominent ruler of the Marwar region in Rajasthan, India. He belonged to the Rathore clan of Rajputs and ascended the throne in 1584 AD. He was known for his bravery, administrative skills, and patronage of art and culture.


During his reign, Maharaja Raav Chandra Sen faced several challenges from neighboring states like Amber, Mewar, and Gujarat. However, he successfully defended his kingdom and expanded his territories by conquering several neighboring states.


Maharaja Raav Chandra Sen was also a patron of art and culture. He supported the development of music, dance, and literature in his kingdom and invited many famous musicians and artists to his court. He was a great lover of classical music and himself was a proficient musician.


Under his patronage, several temples, palaces, and gardens were built in the Marwar region. He also constructed a beautiful palace in Jodhpur, which is known as the Raav ki Haveli.


Maharaja Raav Chandra Sen ruled for more than 50 years and died in 1631 AD. He was succeeded by his son, Maharaja Gaj Singh. His legacy is still remembered in the Marwar region, and he is considered one of the greatest rulers of the region.
