Raja bukka ray
Raja Bukka Raya was a prominent ruler of the Vijayanagara Empire, which was located in the present-day Deccan Plateau region of Southern India. He was the younger brother of Harihara I, the founder of the Vijayanagara Empire, and ascended to the throne in 1356 CE after his brother's death.
During his reign, Raja Bukka Raya faced several challenges, including invasions from the Bahmani Sultanate and internal rebellions. However, he managed to consolidate his power and expand the Vijayanagara Empire's territory, particularly in the northern part of present-day Karnataka.
Raja Bukka Raya was known for his patronage of arts and literature, and several literary works were produced during his reign. He also built several temples and other structures, including the famous Vittala Temple in Hampi.
After ruling for nearly 35 years, Raja Bukka Raya passed away in 1377 CE, and was succeeded by his son, Harihara II.
